A Partnership Forged by Travel
Rick and Tracey's story is one that could only happen to people who love travel as deeply as they do. Rick was on his very first visit to Australia — leading a tour group — when he met Tracey on day one. She was a Queensland local; he was a Chicago-based tour operator who had already sent thousands of people around the world. What followed was a partnership that would become both a great love story and one of the most credentialed careers in the travel industry.
Tracey moved to the United States in 1990, and the two have been together ever since — building companies, leading tours, and exploring the world together, including five personal voyages to Antarctica aboard the Scenic Eclipse. Today they run Small Cruise Journeys from their homes in Lincolnshire, IL and Naples, FL, bringing a combined depth of firsthand experience that is simply unmatched in the small-ship cruising space.
Rick has been shaping travel experiences since the early 1980s, when he co-founded Prism Holidays and built it into a nationally recognized tour operator that sent over 50,000 travelers around the world. After selling Prism to Far & Wide Travel Corp. in 2000 and serving as a Division President, he and Tracey founded Tour & Travel Resources — which evolved into Small Cruise Journeys.
Rick has visited all seven continents at least twice and has logged over 2 million air miles in a career defined by boots-on-the-ground experience. He has visited Australia nearly 30 times, sailed Antarctica twice aboard the Scenic Eclipse, and has been personally sought out to consult for some of the industry's most respected brands.

Born and raised in Queensland, Australia, Tracey brings a warmth, energy, and firsthand perspective that clients feel from their very first conversation. She was deeply involved with Prism Holidays across many facets of the company — with a particular passion for leading tours around the world herself, something she did with genuine enthusiasm and skill.
Greece and Australia have always been her two favorite destinations to lead — not coincidentally, two places she knows with extraordinary depth. Tracey has visited all seven continents at least twice and has traveled nearly 1 million miles. Her Australian roots give Small Cruise Journeys an authenticity and insider connection to the South Pacific that few other agencies can offer.
